Steven Bradley is the recording artist vehicle for producer Steve Kravac. After spending years making records for others such as M.X.P.X., Less Than Jake and 7 Seconds, he has taken some time to develop his own sound.
The result is the debut full-length, "Summer Bliss and Autumn Tears." Decidedly power-pop in what has become an Americana world, it's different than what's trending now.
Parts Matthew Sweet and Big Star, with a dash of younger Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe, it sounds as if Teenage Fanclub had settled in the Midwest.
Steve wrote 11 songs for the record and played the majority of the instruments himself, but it's also loaded with great performances from many of his friends.
Members of the MC5, Social Distortion, Redd Kross, M.X.P.X., 7 Seconds, Grapes of Wrath, Northern Pikes, Tom Waits Band, and Jackson Brown Band contributed to the record.
The L.P. is targeted for a late spring release on Porterhouse Records. It'll be available on 12" custom colored vinyl, complete with download code.
